Suhana Khan's Parents Are Her "Biggest Source of Guidance"

Suhana Khan, an actor best known for her role in "The Archies," claimed on Wednesday that her parents, Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan and producer-interior designer Gauri Khan, are her "biggest source of guidance."

The 23-year-old was speaking at the India Today Conclave session titled "New Kids on the Block: Meet the Gen Z of Bollywood aka The Archies Gang" as she prepared to make her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar's "The Archies." "My parents and, in fact, my entire family are my main sources of guidance. I believe we all pitch in and support one another. Was that okay, I ask my mother? Is my hair alright? Is my clothing suitable? said Suhana.

Based on the well-known American comics of the same name, Zoya Akhtar's live-action musical film "The Archies" is set in India. Khushi Kapoor, daughter of late actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, makes her acting debut as Betty, and Agastya Nanda, grandson of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, plays Archie.

Suhana portrays Veronica in the Netflix movie, which she characterized as having a charismatic personality.

"She is unapologetically herself and is aware of her value. I'm learning it from her, she continued.

The 1960s-set movie, according to the creators, follows the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel, and Dilton to explore friendship, freedom, love, heartbreak, and rebellion. Audiences will be transported to the made-up, hilly town of Riverdale.

Suhana claimed that everyone on the "The Archies" set was working to make Zoya's vision a reality.

"I suppose realizing that I felt terribly anxious and at the same time, incredibly responsible. On my first day, Zoya made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. All along, she did nothing but hold her hand. And she immediately made Riverdale feel like home," she continued.

Agastya claimed that working with "The Archies" was the best team he could have imagined.

I now consider these guys over here to be my closest buddies. We also hang out way too much. It's been fantastic," he declared.

Additionally, the 22-year-old explained why he doesn't use Instagram.

"I simply personally don't do well with Instagram, but never say never. In addition, my sister is my best PR. Agastya stated, "She posts whatever I need, and I have a hidden profile on the social network app to 'watch reels'.

According to Khushi, the cast warmed up to one another quickly.

Every day, we were preparing together. Because we were compelled to spend so much time together, our bonds were greatly strengthened by sharing the same experience. We were traveling everywhere in a little herd at the conclusion of the shoot, she said.

The 22-year-old said "to just have fun" when asked what the best advice she had ever received was.

The cast of "The Archies" is completed by Vedang Raina, Dot, Yuvraj Menda, and Mihir Ahuja.

While they were filming for season two of the Prime Video series "Made in Heaven," according to Mihir, Zoya invited him to try out for "The Archies."

"But I also went through the acting classes, camera workshops, and boot camp, among other things. I have to learn new things again," the 25-year-old actor who plays Jughead in the movie stated.

Dot claimed that she identified strongly with the character Ethel, who is "an oddball" like her.

"As a kid, I don't think I was one of the cool kids. Some of the odder types of people are those that like Ethel. I'm delighted to help them, she replied.

The 22-year-old, who can sing, claimed that music is her first love.

"I'm eager to discover what this vast, limitless world has in store for me. I'm thrilled, she continued.

Yuvraj, who plays Dilton, claimed that Zoya made sure that every cast member captured the essence of the roles they performed.

It's incredible how precise she was. We all so strongly relate to our characters. That is why it is so simple. The 21-year-old continued, "I believe there are so many aspects of Dilton that are just so true to Yuvraj.

Vedang claimed he was "obsessed" as a youngster with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan playing the superhero Krrish.

"This Indian superhero captured my attention. That was my childhood inspiration. But as I got older, Matthew McConaughey's work in 'Interstellar' and 'True Detective' season one transformed the way I saw movies and television for me,' the 27-year-old continued.

Along with the filmmaker Reema Kagti, Ayesha Devitre, and Zoya, the project also includes writers Zoya and Ayesha Kagti.

All praise for the youthful cast came from Reema.

They've been fantastic. You'll see why each person simply had to have the personality that they do. No one else could have accomplished it.

"The energy and effort are just incredible. And yes, I am aware that I keep saying that; you'll see. However, it remains to be seen how much effort these young people have made and what they have been able to produce, the speaker added.
