Team India Gears Up for Super 8 Stage with Intensive Practice Sessions

After an eight-day hiatus for the T20 World Cup, Team India will play its first Super 8 encounter at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown on Thursday against Afghanistan.

Following their arrival in Bridgetown on Sunday night, the entire team was eager to take advantage of the practice possibilities as their final group league match versus Canada washed out in Lauderhill, Florida.

Despite the fact that practice on Monday and Tuesday was optional, every player showed up. After running out of runs in the group stage, Virat Kohli was obviously eager to get back to his best. He batted for more over 40 minutes, switching up his strategy and taking on different bowlers.

"The crew is really excited to go and accomplish something amazing. Thus, that's a fantastic way to kick off the tournament's second phase. Evidently, we take our skill sessions extremely seriously, and it's clear that everyone wants to make a difference," skipper Rohit Sharma stated on bcci.tv.

Every session has goals that need to be met. We play the remaining two games over the course of three to four days after we finish the first game. It will be a little chaotic, but this is all nothing new to us. Thus, that will never serve as a justification, Rohit declared.

"Instead of all of this, we will try to concentrate far more on our abilities and what we must do as a team. Hence, it becomes crucial to maximize the value of each session.

"Everyone knows what needs to be done to get the outcome in our favor because we have seen and played a lot of games here. Everyone is anticipating and feeling fairly happy at the same time, Rohit continued.

India's final Super 8 matchup is against Australia on Monday, following their match against Afghanistan on Saturday.
