Superstar Indian batsman Virat Kohli knows he "can't keep going forever," but he still wants to give his all in his cricket career because, after it's over, he says he'll be "gone" and "not seen for a while."

With a record eighth century in the IPL this season because to his insatiable thirst for runs and hundreds, Kohli remains the top scorer in the league with an astounding 661 runs from 13 games for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The 35-year-old remarked in a video that RCB shared on social media that his motivation to live a life without of regrets keeps him going.

It simply comes down to not leaving any unfinished business behind and not looking back, which I'm positive I won't do. I'll be gone after I'm finished, so you won't see me for a while.

When asked what keeps him hungry, Kohli responded, "So, I want to give it everything I have till the time I play and that's the only thing that keeps me going."

Soon after leading India to victory in the 2008 Under-19 World Cup, Kohli was selected by RCB, and he has remained a member of the team ever since.

"I think, as sportsmen, we do have an end date to our careers, so I'm just working backwards, I don't want to finish my career thinking what if I had done this on that particular day because I can't keep going on and on forever," he said.

The former captain of India will play for his country in the T20 World Cup, which will take place in the USA and the West Indies starting next month.

Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh recently expressed his opinion that the RCB should consider restoring Kohli's captaincy to the squad, stating that he had the perfect blend of aggressiveness, dedication, and intent to lead the team moving forward in the upcoming season.

Right now, South Africa's Faf du Plessis is leading the RCB.
