Viv Richards Hails Glenn Maxwell's Double Century as "Best White-Ball Knock Ever"

Viv Richards called Glenn Maxwell's World Cup match against Afghanistan's undefeated double century (201 n.o.) the “best white-ball knock ever” during an ICC discussion show on Monday.

"I think Glenn Maxwell had the best (innings). At that point in time, you couldn't have even dreamed of someone (the Aussies) winning a match. At a golf course, I was... I was shocked to learn that Australia ended up winning the game. "It was an incredible hit," Richards remarked.

Richards also supported India to win the event outright.

"The way India is playing right now, winning nine out of nine games... Phrases like "there is a bad match somewhere round the corner" are all too common. Such a large amount of crap. When you're confident, you don't give up. The batting great once stated, "Confidence breeds more confidence."
