Following claims of black marketing, West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose returned four complimentary tickets for the eagerly awaited cricket world cup match between India and South Africa, according to a Raj Bhavan official.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) gave him the tickets for the Eden Gardens match.

"The complimentary tickets have been returned to CAB by the governor. The official told PTI on Saturday, "He has chosen to open a 'Janata Stadium' at the Raj Bhavan, where people can watch the match on a giant screen."

According to him, 500 spectators will be allowed entry on a first-come, first-served basis from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. to watch the game.

Fans wishing to enter the Raj Bhavan lawn may also apply online.

According to the official, Bose's decision was made in response to multiple complaints of black marketing of match tickets received by the Raj Bhavan grievance cell on Sunday.

According to the police, 19 people have been detained for selling tickets illegally since November 1.
