Yogi Adityanath Threatens to Take Action Against Love Jihad and Cow Smuggling in Chhattisgarh

If the Bharatiya Janata Party wins the state's elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has threatened to take action against individuals who are inciting unrest in Chhattisgarh under the guise of "love jihad" and cow smuggling.

During a rally on Saturday in Chhattisgarh's election-bound assembly seat of Kawardha, Adityanath referred to the Congress as a "problem for the country, society, and the public".

While a worker opposing "love jihad" was brutally killed, he stated that the Congress' win in the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections was a "mistake" and that Ram Navami processions were outlawed.

"In Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party has a two-engine administration. There, love jihad has been outlawed entirely. In this regard, legislation has been passed that forbids conversion. Illegal conversion is impossible. He said, "Anyone who commits such an act will have to deal with the consequences."

Right-wing groups use the phrase "love jihad" to accuse Muslim males of plotting to convert Hindu women by enticing them into marriage.

"I am pleading with you to let Chhattisgarh to have a double-engine government as well. Congress has been attempting to subvert law and order in the guise of the mining mafia, love jihad, and cow smuggling. Similar to what happened in Uttar Pradesh, similar activities will face consequences. There won't be any issues after that," he said.

The connection between Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh is quite friendly. Uttar Pradesh's population views Chhattisgarh as a motherland. According to Adityanath, this state is the paternal home of Mata Kaushalya and the maternal home of Lord Ram.

The UP chief minister said that while Kawardha is as holy as Kashi, the historical name of Varanasi, the Congress has deviously installed someone like to Akbar—the current Congress MLA and minister Muhammad Akbar—here.

"The Congress is playing tricks with your religion in a sacred city. Someone like that has been sent here, someone who doesn't care about your spiritual growth or your beliefs. All those things that upset our religious symbol and the saffron flag are growing under his protection," he said.

Adityanath accused the Bhupesh Baghel administration of corruption, pointing out that Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the then prime minister, was responsible for the formation of Chhattisgarh and that the state had advanced to unprecedented levels of development during the 15 years of BJP rule under Raman Singh.

However, as has been the party's custom for the last five years, the Congress has hampered progress in this area. The nation, society, and the general public all have issues with the Congress. He said, "Terrorism, separatism, the appeasement policy, naxalism, corruption, and anarchy are all products of the Congress."

"The government is controlled by the BJP, which sets standards for security, development, and sound administration. This is evident in the new India that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created," he said.

He said that the Congress had defrauded the people of Chhattisgarh and executed frauds including the Public Service Commission, liquor, and the purchase of cow dung.

The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh also spoke at a gathering in the Pandariya assembly district.

In Chhattisgarh, assembly elections are scheduled for November 7 and November 17. Votes will be tallied on December 3. Chhattisgarh's impending assembly elections have attracted a lot of interest, since state politicians from a number of different parties are actively campaigning there. Parties fighting for power are predicted to engage in ferocious combat throughout the two-phase election process. The findings, which will be made public on December 3, will significantly influence how the state's politics are shaped.
