Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter Crosses Rs 100 Crore Worldwide, Faces Monday Box Office Dip

Early estimates indicate that Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, crossed the Rs 100-crore threshold at the worldwide box office in four days, but saw a notable decline in receipts on Monday.

The Siddharth Anand-directed aerial action thriller is predicted to make Rs 8 crore nett on Day 5, according to industry monitoring website Sacnilk, which indicates a significant drop in its daily box office performance.

Fighter had a fantastic weekend, grossing Rs 39.5 crore nett on Friday, Rs 27.5 crore nett on Saturday, and Rs 29 crore nett on Sunday. The film debuted at the domestic box office on January 25 at a cost of Rs 22.5 crore nett. With Monday's receipts, the film has made a total of Rs 126.50 crore nett in India.

Fighter, which also features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi in important parts, is an ode to the bravery, selflessness, and nationalism of the Indian Air Force. In the movie, Anil Kapoor plays Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, or Rocky, while Hrithik plays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, called Patty, and Deepika plays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, aka Minni.

Pathaan, the last movie starring Siddharth Anand, was a huge box office hit, earning Rs 1,050 crore globally. Vikram Vedha (2022), Hrithik's most recent film, has made a pitiful Rs 135 crore globally at the box office. The female protagonist of Pathaan, Deepika, was most recently seen in Atlee's Jawan, which made Rs 1,150 crore globally and became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023.
