Tourism Department Extends Warm Welcome to Champions After Historic Victory
As part of the festivities, the Indian cricket team that won the T20 World Cup has been invited by the tourism department of Jammu and Kashmir to visit the Union Territory.
"Team India deserves special congratulations for winning the 2024 T20 World Cup! We want our victors to come to Jammu & Kashmir so we may celebrate even more! "Host[ing] you in the jewel of Incredible India would be an honor," the department wrote in a post on its official X handle.
After a 17-year break, India won the T20 World Cup on June 29 after defeating South Africa by seven runs in the championship match.
