Kartik Aaryan's portrayal in the most recent sports drama Chandu Champion received acclaim from former Team India captain Kapil Dev for Kabir Khan's narrative, and Kartik responded with thanks for the recognition from the cricket icon.

Unquestionably a movie you shouldn't miss. I'm a big fan of and enjoy watching sports flicks. However, this is more than just a sports movie. It is far more than that. Along with images of the film's director and lead actor, Kapil posted on Instagram on Tuesday, saying, "While watching it, I have laughed, cried, felt pride, and cried some more."

Kartik complimented Kapil for his kind comments regarding the sports biopic and reshared his tweet, praising his perseverance and tenacity.

The life and hardships of India's first Paralympic gold medallist, boxer Murlikant Petkar, are the focus of Kabir Khan's Chandu Champion. Petkar was a member of the Indian Army's Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME). He was forced to compete in swimming and other sports due to his serious bullet wounds received during the 1965 war against Pakistan, which left him crippled. At the 1968 Summer Paralympics, he competed in table tennis and won four gold in swimming.

Since its June 14 release, the movie has reportedly made Rs 29.75 crore nett at the domestic box office, according to industry data-tracking website Sacnilk.

Kartik next appears with Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan in Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is being produced by T-Series Films, is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 1 in honor of Diwali.
