Lynda Carter Reveals Warner Bros. Stance on "Wonder Woman 3" Amid Fan Demand

A third DC movie won't be produced unless there is demand from fans, according to actress Lynda Carter, who played heroine Wonder Woman in a 1970s TV show.

Carter made an appearance in the 2020 sequel to "Wonder Woman" (2017), "Wonder Woman 1984," as the warrior Asteria. Patty Jenkins directed both films, with Gal Gadot playing the lead.

The actress said that Warner Bros., the production company behind the comic book movie series, doesn't seem eager to collaborate on "Wonder Woman 3".

"I don't think they want to do it unless there's a significant amount of fan pressure." I just don't believe they're capable of doing it. Since Wonder Woman appears to be unique among characters, I find it difficult to comprehend.

She's more than simply a superwoman. Her whole focus is on finding peaceful solutions. She doesn't want to be aggressive. That is an unrelated tale. It has to do with both inner and external strength. It's a fantastic franchise, so I don't understand why they tabled it," Carter told Yahoo! Entertainment.

Jenkins, she said, had been working on something that "was really interesting, wonderful, and about something important." She also commended Jenkins. Not simply anything ordinary. However, they don't want anyone else to succeed," the actor—who was supposed to feature in the third movie—continued.

Jenkins said recently that "Wonder Woman 3" is no longer alive "for the time being, easily forever."
