Priyanka Chopra Stars in Disney Nature's "Tiger" as Executive Producer and Voice Over Artist

In the next Disney Nature movie Tiger, actress Priyanka Chopra said on Tuesday that she provided a voice over to a real-life tigress.

Priyanka plays Ambar in the film, an Indian tigress with a "timeless legacy" who lives in the busy forests where "creatures big and small, timid and majestic roam."

The 41-year-old actress said on Instagram, "'Tiger'... a story that captures the wild and brings out everything that happens within it — tales of love, conflict, hunger, survival and so much more."

The Citadel actress stated of Ambar, "She cares for her cubs with so much love that the beautiful bond between mother and child shines through so magnificently," adding that Tiger was filmed over an eight-year period.

Priyanka is the executive producer of the feature film, which will chronicle Ambar's trek through India's legendary woods.

"It was a lot of joy telling this amazing narrative and traveling through the rainforests in this movie. Priyanka concluded, saying, "I can't wait for y'all to enjoy the jungle with us."

In another statement, Priyanka emphasized her pleasure at becoming a part of “something so special” and conveying “the story of this magnificent animal that comes from my country”. I have a deep affinity with tigers and sense a connection with their female counterparts. I also feel a strong sense of duty towards my family. I believe any parent could truly connect to Ambar's story," she said.

The official Disney Plus summary of Tiger claims that it depicts how tiger kittens, who are often "curious, rambunctious, and at times a bit clumsy," learn from their astute mother, who will stop at nothing to protect them from bears, pythons, and roving male tigers.

Tiger was shot over 1,500 days under the direction of Mark Linfield, with Rob Sullivan and Vanessa Berlowitz serving as co-directors. On April 22, in honor of Earth Day, it will be available on Disney Plus. Linfield, Berlowitz, and Roy Conli are the producers.
