Madhyamik Examinees in Malda Caught with Phones During History Exam
Three Students Found Carrying Phones at Exam Center, Answer Scripts Confiscated
The day of their history test, Monday, in Malda, three Madhyamik examinees showed up to the exam center with cell phones.
According to sources, three Sovanagar High School students entered the Raigram High School test room in the Englishbazar block of the district carrying phones, which were discovered by district monitoring team (DMT) members during an unexpected check-in halfway through the exam.
"We confiscated the answer scripts and their cell phones. One DMT member said, "They could not find any pictures of the history question paper on their phones. "However, the students were barred from writing the answer script further."
"Whether they would be forbidden from appearing in the remaining examinations will be decided by the WBBSE officials," the representative from the DMT said.
On Monday, six additional test takers tried to enter the Panchkoritola High School in Kaliachak-II block with their phones. However, their phones were discovered prior to the exam beginning, thus they were let to complete their papers.
Madhyamik papers in Bengali and English were leaked at a few locations in the Malda district on Friday and Saturday.
