Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Announce Two New Netflix Shows
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

As part of their multiyear deal with Netflix, Prince Harry and his actress wife Meghan Markle will produce two new non-fiction shows under their production banner Archewell Productions that will center on lifestyle and the world of professional polo, the streaming service announced in a statement on Thursday.

The first series will highlight the pleasures of friendship, cooking, gardening, and hosting. Michael Steed, best known for his work on the American chat show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, will be directing it. Executive producing and curating the series will be Markle's dual roles.

The US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida serves as the primary venue for the second series, which will provide viewers with unparalleled access to the world of professional polo. It will highlight all facets of the sport, which is mostly recognized for its social and artistic environment, telling the complete tale of what it takes to participate at the greatest level. Boardwalk Pictures will produce the show; Chanel Pysnik, Andrew Fried, Sarina Roma, Dane Lillegard, Miloš Balać, Ian Samplin, and Prince Harry and Meghan will serve as executive producers.

According to a recent press statement from Netflix, both programs are now in the early phases of development, and their titles and premiere dates will be revealed in the upcoming months.

In 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex established Archewell Productions, their own production business, and in that same year, they inked a multi-year agreement with Netflix for the distribution of children's, films, documentaries, comedy, and drama programs.

The upcoming series will track the couple's other endeavors, such as the 2022 documentary Harry & Meghan, which traced the history of the royal couple's relationship from the early stages of their courtship to the difficulties and controversies that ultimately forced them to resign from their full-time positions in the British royal family.
