Sacnilk reports that Amit Sharma's sports drama only made Rs 7.1 crore nett (including Rs 2.6 crore nett from paid previews) on its opening day in India, whereas Ali Abbas Zafar's action-thriller took in Rs 15.5 crore nett across all languages.


Miyan Bade With a whopping Rs 24.6 crore nett revenue on its opening day, Hrithik Roshan's Fighter has taken the top place, making Chote Miyan the second-biggest opener of the year. The action comedy narrowly outperformed Ajay Devgn's Shaitaan, which brought in Rs 15.21 crore nett on its first day of sales.

Only Crew (Rs 8.75 crore nett) has opened with more money than Devgn's sports drama, aside from Fighter, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Shaitaan.

The ensemble cast of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which also stars Tiger and Akshay, includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chillar, and Alaya F. The movie, which is produced by Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani, takes its title from a 1998 comedy that starred Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan.

Even though Maidaan lost to Bade Miyan Chote Miyan on the first day of the release, it nevertheless secured a place among the top five Hindi openers of 2024. It is a biographical film about Syed Abdul Rahim, a former Indian football coach, and it shows the glory years of Indian football, which spanned from 1952 until 1962.
