The principal actor in "Ishq Vishk Rebound," Rohit Saraf, stated on Tuesday that the upcoming movie is not a remake or a sequel to the Shahid Kapoor-starring original picture of the same name.

In the romantic comedy "Ishq Vishk" released in 2003, Kapoor made her screen debut. Both reviewers and viewers gave the movie favorable reviews, especially for its music, which made it a sleeper hit.

Ken Ghosh directed the first movie, which starred Shenaz Treasurywala and Amrita Rao opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The film "Ishq Vishk Rebound" was directed by Marathi director Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari.

It is not a 'Ishq Vishk' sequel or remake. The two movies have one thing in common: they are part of the same franchise. But at this film's promotional event, Saraf told reporters, "It's a new story altogether, a love story about Gen Z."

According to the actor, a young actor gets a unique chance when they get to be in a movie like this. "I want to avoid undermining that by placing undue strain on myself. I feel like I should start taking the pressure since I see everyone around me talking about it," he remarked.

'Ishq Vishk's' reimagined title tune, which debuted on Tuesday, features Jibraan Khan, Naila Grewal, Saraf, and Pashmina Roshan.

Saraf, who gained popularity with the Netflix romantic comedy series "Mismatched," as well as roles in movies such as "Ludo," "The Sky is Pink," and the Hindi adaptation of "Vikram Vedha," expressed that he grew up listening to the song "Ishq Vishk" and finds it strange that it is now included in the updated version.

The title song is a dream come true with a lasting impact. I'm still a huge fan of what Shahid accomplished in the song, so it's just a blessing that I can do that. Pashmina Roshan, the cousin of Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, expressed her pride in her family's movie heritage while acknowledging that it carries certain expectations.

"The pressure is to live up to their advice, to their (body of) work and make a place for myself in the industry and in the hearts of the audience," Pashmina remarked. "The pride, the luck, their support and advice is what I've got."

The newcomer added that Hrithik gave her advice to continue being "authentic" in her acting.

"If you do these two things, you'll be set: bring sincerity to your work and give it your all as an actor. He always gives this counsel, and I hope I've lived up to his standards," Pashmina continued.

Jibraan Khan, widely known for his work as a child artist in "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham," and Naila Grewal of "Mamla Legal Hai" fame also feature in "Ishq Vishk Rebound."

Getting a movie like "Ishq Vishk Rebound," according to Khan, is a dream come true for him.

"It took me a long time to get here." The producer, Ramesh Taurani ji, told me at my audition that "we would want to have you in the film." I was ecstatic. I adore romantic Hindi films very much.

Being a child of the 1990s, I grew up seeing romantic movies. It is a dream come true to work on a movie like this, and I hope we can do more of them. We need lots of love, songs, dances, and lighter times, in my opinion. He expressed gratitude to the director and producer for providing him with the chance.

"Ishq Vishk Rebound," which is being produced by Ramesh Taurani and co-produced by Jaya Taurani under the auspices of Tips Films Limited, is scheduled to hit theaters on June 21.
