'Most hard-working person on set', says actor in heartwarming video
In a behind-the-scenes video posted on Wednesday, actor Vicky Kaushal wished Sam Bahadur director Meghna Gulzar a happy 50th birthday, referring to her as the "most hard-working" person on the sets.
"A quick birthday dance for you, Meghna. He posted the video to Instagram along with the statement, "Wish I could do it in person today."
"Every day on set I'd try to be the most hard-working person, and every day you'd beat me and everybody else to it," he continued, expressing his admiration for her diligence. In response to the video, the 50-year-old director typed "you" and then a blue heart. On the actor's post, a number of fans left compliments for the pair and their most recent movie.
Thus far, Meghna and Vicky have worked together on two projects: Sam Bahadur and Raazi. The latter, a biographical war drama film centered on the life of Sam Manekshaw, India's first field marshal, debuted on December 1.
The Ranbir Kapoor film Animal has fierce competition at the box office, but Sam Bahadur has managed to stay consistent. Vicky Kaushal is joined in the movie by Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.
