Yashasvi Jaiswal (right) is being congratulated by Sarfaraz Khan after the former completed his double century in Rajkot on Sunday

An ecstatic Sarfaraz Khan also raised his bat as they crossed for the single after Yashasvi Jaiswal drove Joe Root through the cover area on Sunday to record his second double hundred of the series. It seems that these young people are celebrating one other's achievements.

Virat Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma, for example, are not getting any younger. When they retire in a few years, there will be a lot of big shoes to fill. The advancements these young people are making are very encouraging for India's future.

The colorful Jaiswal, the unlucky Shubman Gill (who ran out due to a misunderstanding), and even the rookie Sarfaraz are all moving in the right path. Gill missed out on a hundred runs.

It's true that England's bowling attack is inexperienced, especially when it comes to spin. Their quicks, with the exception of James Anderson, 41, have also never played a Test match in India. However, what players like Jaiswal have accomplished in this game is really significant. They were strong in defense as well as having an authoritative style of batting and trying to dominate all through.

Gill deserves recognition as well for putting up an important 155-run partnership with Jaiswal on Day III, after India's early loss of Rohit in their second innings.

Shubman, who has participated in 23 Test matches, is an experienced player. We still need to witness Sarfaraz in a couple more Test matches. Jaiswal, however, has all the makings of the next big thing. He's establishing himself as a versatile player.

Former head selector MSK Prasad told The Telegraph, "What's most pleasing is how well these guys have cashed in on the opportunities they got." "The opportunities came knocking at their door just ahead of the transition period for Indian cricket, and it was really good to see these players grabbing the chances with both hands."

Rohit, the captain, also praised the young cricket players' efforts. "We've had to put in a lot of effort to win, particularly considering how many of our star players are out. Thus, many congratulations to these young lads who have entered and shown a great deal of character... It seems like they are content to remain here and feel like they belong.

"We discuss bench strength all the time. We got to see a lot of our bench strength today and in Visakhapatnam," Rohit said at the press conference.

Allowing Sarfaraz to bat in his own way was also beneficial to the 26-year-old. "I didn't talk to him about any specific strategy. "If you don't curb his natural game, he will do his job, Usko agar khula chhodoge, toh kaam kar dega apnaa," Rohit said.

One presume everything is alright when the captain has such confidence in his inexperienced generals.
