Air Asia Flight Evacuated at Kolkata Airport Following Bomb Threat

A bomb threat was made on Friday afternoon at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, prompting the evacuation of an Air Asia flight, according to sources in the airport administration.

When this report was filed, CISF personnel were engaged in search activities.

A threat alleging explosive devices were concealed in 41 airports across the nation was sent to the directors of those airports via email approximately ten days ago. Among the airports that had received the threat were those in Patna, Jaipur, Vadodara, and Coimbatore.

It proved to be a scam.

The same day, a fictitious bomb threat caused a delay in an Emirates flight from Chennai to Dubai.

The Emirates flight EK 543 was mentioned in an email that appears to have come from Istanbul, Turkey. After the flight, the passengers and luggage were offloaded, and a comprehensive examination was conducted.

More than 250 international passengers were on the flight, which had a 12-hour delay.
