Asia Cup Super Four Venue Change Considered Amid Heavy Rain Threat in Colombo

Due to the oppressive rains that have been pounding Colombo, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is considering changing the venue for the Super Four contests of the Asia Cup.

Five Super Four couples and the conclusion were scheduled to take place in Colombo starting on September 9; however, there are a few hints that the weather may be losing strength.

According to that framework, the ACC is now conducting an examination with the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the host organization for the event, about the possible change of scene.

The PTI has always maintained that the scenes in Pallekele, Dambulla, and Hambantota are real.

The six interesting groups that have continued to occur have made suggestions regarding the impending shift in scene.

Pallekele is now hosting Asia Cup league matches, however rain is more likely to fall in this location in township.

About 70 kilometers separate Pallekele from Dambulla, where there is far less possibility of rain.

The Rangiri International Cricket Stadium in Dambulla, according to an SLC official, is unable to accommodate so many weddings so quickly.

The ACC is deftly assessing the capability of Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium to hold the Asia Cup equals. It is determined that the weather in Hambantota is predicted to be the sunniest in Sri Lanka now.

The Colombo pole begins only on September 9, giving the ACC a few more days to make a decision, but the Sri Lankan board decided not to leave the situation to chance.

You may recall that Sri Lanka was officially announced as the co-host of the Asia Cup after the composite model was predicted by PCB chairman Najam Sethi ahead of schedule.

The ACC had announced in June that "the match will be entertained in a mixture model accompanying four competitions being grasped in Pakistan, and the remaining nine competitions being performed in Sri Lanka."
