Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Supports Kangana Ranaut's Assertion on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday supported Kangana Ranaut, the actor-turned-politician who is running for Lok Sabha in the BJP, in her claim that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was the nation's first prime minister.

According to Sarma, Netaji formed the Azad Hind administration, which was recognized by nine nations, four years before Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru became the prime ministership.

According to the Chief Minister's tweet on 'X', "To those making fun of @KanganaTeam, on October 21, 1943, Netaji formed the Azad Hind Govt., of which he was the head, nearly 4 years before Pt Nehru took oath as Prime Minister following transfer of power."

Nine nations acknowledged the Azad Hind Government as the actual Indian government. "'Ghulami ki Mansikta' is the term for this irrational desire to understand history through the eyes of colonialists," he said.

The comment was recently made by Ranuat, the BJP candidate from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh; the video of him saying it went viral on social media on Friday.
