Krrish Manick's first trip to Eden Gardens at the age of seventeen proved to be an experience he would never forget.

The teenager had the chance to bat against Bangladeshi cricket captain Shakib Al-Hasan's left-arm spin.

He was exaggerated. And he wasn't by himself.

On Friday, a day before their match against The Netherlands on the same ground, twenty girls and boys who play cricket or are fans of the game spent about forty-five minutes with the Bangladesh cricket team.

The goal was to spread the word about equal opportunity for men, women, and people with disabilities.

The players engaged with the city boys and girls, including two students with speech and hearing impairments, and gave them advice on how to bat, bowl, and play field.

In order to help girls and boys #BeAChampion through equality, the ICC and Unicef organized the "Cricket4good" initiative, which brought players together to promote messages of confidence, cooperation, and equality for all.

"We wanted to convey to them, along with some cricket advice, that boys and girls should have equal opportunities. We invited both boys and girls to the session because we believe that both genders need to know they are equals, according to a Unicef representative.

The group understood the message.

It was enjoyable to play with boys. Sneha Mondal remarked, "I felt like I could play with international cricketers on a par with the boys."

Another girl who plays cricket, Tanisha Paswan, shared that she discovered the value of mutual understanding among team members.

"In the field, effective communication between team members is crucial. To win, we must play as a team," she remarked.
