Congress Unveils 25 Guarantees for Justice Regime, Challenges Modi's Record
Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge at the CWC meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday.

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) stressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "oppressive" 10-year rule had tormented all segment of society when it endorsed the 25 promises for a new justice regime on Tuesday. The CWC also made this the key agenda item for electioneering.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi have been announcing the 25 promises for Kisan Nyay, Yuva Nyay, Nari Nyay, Mazdoor Nyay, and social justice over the past few weeks. The main features are a legal guarantee of the minimum support price (MSP) for farmers, an annual payment of Rs 1 lakh to impoverished women, an apprenticeship law providing a stipend of Rs 1 lakh for diploma holders and graduates, the filling of 30 lakh positions in government and PSUs, the right to health for workers, and a caste census.

Kharge emphasized that the nation is adamantly calling for change and requested the party to make sure that every home in every town and hamlet nationwide receives the message of the 25 assurances. Given his track record of keeping his word, he called the Modi ki Guarantee bogus and urged people to find out how each and every promise has been kept in Telangana and Karnataka. He predicted that Modi's propaganda would have the same outcome as the 2004 India Shining campaign.

In order to generate excitement about its Nyay promises over the course of the next month, the party intends to host massive events across the nation. Hyderabad might be the location of the first meeting. The Congress has also devised a comprehensive strategy to highlight Modi's shortcomings, demonstrating how his reputation is completely destroyed and why the public shouldn't believe his recent assurances. "All of Modi's promises are false. Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal questioned, "Has he fulfilled the promises made in 2014?," insisting that the Congress would keep all of its word.

The "failure" series began with an explanation of the situation pertaining to the agriculture sector by Jairam Ramesh, the general secretary of the party who oversees communications. "The blatant ineptitude and malice of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare is among the most detrimental and obvious of all the Modi government's failures," he stated. The eight primary shortcomings are: 4. Failure to double farmer income 5. Exorbitant GST on agricultural inputs 2. Non-use of ministry funds 3. Insufficient MSP hikes & non-implementation of Swaminathan Commission Report 5. Not varying the crops 6. The need for imported edible oils 7. Trade policy failures; 8. Growing debt and farmer suicides.
