CPI Chief D Raja Praises Hemant Soren's Bail, Advocates for Unity Among Secular Parties

The Jharkhand High Court's decision to grant former chief minister Hemant Soren bail was praised on Saturday by Communist Party of India (CPI) general secretary D Raja, who also predicted that it will strengthen connections amongst the state's secular parties.

Speaking to reporters at Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport, the CPI chief stated that their goal is to bring the nation's secular parties together.

Raja is visiting Jharkhand for two days and will be taking part in a program run by the farmers' organization Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Mahasabha.

"We are happy that Soren was given a bail. He is no longer incarcerated. This will facilitate deeper connections between the state's secular parties, according to Raja.

Additionally, he declared, "We are working to bring all democratic secular parties together under the INDIA bloc in order to combat fascist, right-wing, and communal forces." Additionally, we are attempting to collaborate within Parliament." In a money laundering case, the state high court granted bail to Soren on Friday, noting that he was not guilty and that there was little chance the petitioner would commit an offense while out on bond. Soren was then released.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained Soren, the executive president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), on January 31 as part of its probe into a money laundering case involving the illegitimate holding of 8.36 acres of land.

Regarding the NEET-UG dispute, Raja stated that they had requested the exam be canceled.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate), or NEET-UG, was a medical entrance exam that was administered by the National Testing Agency on May 5 and for which around 24 lakh people registered. However, there have been complaints of anomalies in the exam.

Attacking the central government, Raja claimed that the misrule and terrible policies of the Narendra Modi government had caused the country's economic, employment, farmers, and tribal conditions to worsen.
