Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's 'Fighter' Falls Short of Rs 150 Crore in First Week

Despite a strong start to its box office run on January 25, the Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone film Fighter failed to reach the Rs 150-crore barrier in its first week in theaters, according to data-tracking companies.

Within the first four days of its release, the Siddharth Anand-directed aerial action thriller surpassed the Rs 100-crore milestone. The collections did, however, decline throughout the workdays. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, the movie brought in a total of Rs 7.5 crore, Rs 6.5 crore, and Rs 8 crore net. On the seventh day in theaters, Fighter only made Rs 5.75 crore nett, according to data-tracking website Sacnilk.

After Thursday's results, Fighter's total extended first-week revenue in India is Rs 146.25 crore nett. With international earnings totaling Rs 72 crore gross, Fighter was able to accumulate a gross collection of Rs 168.75 crore in India, bringing the total collection to Rs 240.75 crore gross globally.

The film, which stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi among its star-studded ensemble, revolves on the Indian Armed Forces' Balakot airstrike, which was carried out in reaction to a terrorist assault in Jammu and Kashmir. In the movie, Hrithik portrays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, also known as Patty, while Deepika Padukone plays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, also known as Minni.
