Jitendra Kumar Discusses the Impact of Jeetu Bhaiya in "Kota Factory" and the Need for Mentor Figures

Actor Jitendra Kuman explains why his portrayal of Jeetu Bhaiya strikes such a chord with viewers and how the popularity of his beloved character from "Kota Factory" hints against the lack of mentor figures in people's life.

In the Kota-set series, Jeetu bhaiya serves as a teacher and mentor at a coaching center where students get ready for the incredibly difficult admission tests for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

Jitendra claims that the figure serves as a support network for kids who are facing difficulties. We don't have many mentor figures, which is the only thing I can make sense of from the adoration this program and this character have garnered. People feel alone because either the proper kind of mentorship is lacking or it is entirely inaccessible.

Humans are sociable animals with a strong need for support as well as the ability to express themselves. People have linked to this fictional persona of Jeetu bhaiya because, on occasion, we have friends who are in the same competition as us and we are unable to disclose certain things with them," Jitendra told PTI in an interview.

The students in the latest season of the black-and-white television show, which is based on The Viral Fever (TVF), are juggling various obstacles in their lives with their final exam preparation.

Jitendra is a former student of IIT Kharagpur who also attended Kota. He is well-known for his work on the television shows "TVF Pitchers" and "Panchayat" as well as the feature film "Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan".

The actor recalled his days as a coach, saying that large halls and auditoriums were used to teach large classes of kids.

"There used to be at least 20–25 classes every week, and the teacher would give a 1.5-hour lecture in a large hall or theater. They are too busy to spend time getting to know every single student's issues.

"Whether it's through their instructional strategies or personal styles, teachers inspire and impress their students. It used to be such a big thing for me to meet my teachers, who were my stars. I was enthralled with them." The actor claimed that once "Kota Factory" was released, he received congratulations and greetings from his former instructors.

"I saw them when I returned to Kota. They also explained to me how this series has altered the way they view their work. They never considered the possibility of developing a close relationship with students.

"We often neglect the kids in favor of studying and working out mathematical formulae. They have been greatly transformed by this series, and they now make an effort to assist their students in resolving their own personal issues. And for me and this series, this was a winning response," he remarked.

Another performer in "Kota Factory" is Mayur More, who portrays Vaibhav, Kota's IIT hopeful.

After three seasons as the character, More feels that while tension and concern about doing well on competitive tests are normal human emotions, one should just enjoy the process and not get too caught up in it.

Even with extensive preparation, tension may still arise. There can be tension when you think you've prepared too much. Occasionally, we become dissatisfied because we have predetermined in our minds the outcome of something. Not everyone gets those outcomes, but some do.

"I think it's crucial to acknowledge that disappointment... Thus, all that should be done is enjoy the process and work to improve what is under your control," he stated.

"Kota Factory," which is directed by Pratish Mehta and produced by Raghav Subbu, also stars Ranjan Raj, Tillotama Shome, Rajesh Kumar, Alam Khan, Revathi Pillai, and Ahsaas Channa.
