Man Shot Dead in Madhya Pradesh While Thwarting Attempted Abduction of Sister

In the Guna region of Madhya Pradesh, a 25-year-old member of the nomadic Pardi group was shot and killed for reportedly thwarting an attempt to abduct his sister, according to an official.

According to authorities, the event happened in the Dharnavada region, some 40 kilometers away from the district capital.

The Dharnavada police station's in-charge, Sub-Inspector Rajendra Singh, said that Dharampal Pardi was shot in the foot by an individual after he reportedly protested to an attempted effort to kidnap his sister.

After being taken to a neighboring hospital due to severe bleeding, Dharampal was sent to Bhopal for more medical attention.

According to him, the victim passed away on route to the state capital.

According to the source, police have filed a murder case against seven or eight people, and they are working to apprehend them. The crime seems to be the result of a longstanding grudge.
