Dramatic Comebacks and Late Winners Define Premier League Action

Harvey Barnes, Newcastle's substitute, scored a spectacular goal in the ninetieth minute to propel the Magpies back from a two-goal deficit to win 4-3 over West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday.

With only 13 minutes left at St James' Park, Newcastle, which had taken the lead thanks to a penalty kick from Alexander Isak in the sixth minute, was down 3-1 thanks to goals from Michail Anthony, Mohammed Kudus, and Jarrod Bowen.

But with seven minutes left, Barnes tied the score at 3-3 thanks to another Isak penalty, setting up a thrilling conclusion in which he grabbed the late winner before teammate Anthony Gordon was sent out for a second yellow card offense.

With the losses of Tino Livramento, Miguel Almiron, and captain Jamaal Lascelles, Newcastle's injury issues became worse.

The tackle on Gordon by Vladimir Coufal earned Newcastle a penalty. Isak gave goalkeeper Alphonse Areola a bad look right out of the penalty spot after a VAR assessment.

After twenty-one minutes, Lucas Paqueta saw Antonio's move and capitalized, drawing goalie Martin Dubravka and finishing forcefully. In the tenth minute of first-half stoppage time, Jarrod Bowen received a short free-kick from Paqueta, and he found Kudus, who fired past Dubravka to give the Hammers the lead. This was the second goal of the half.

Before the half, Lukasz Fabianski took Areola's place, and three minutes later, with Tomas Soucek having his head in Jacob Murphy's corner, Kudus sidestepped Schar's lunge and squared for Bowen, who raced from halfway and defeated Dubravka in front of enraged home fans.

Following a VAR review of replacement Kalvin Phillips' tackle on Gordon, Newcastle was given a second penalty, and in the 77th, Isak misdirected Fabianski.

Isak passed Barnes through and blasted between Fabianski's legs to tie the score after six minutes. Barnes then hammered an unstoppable shot to seal the win.

Son hits

The late goal by Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min gave his team a 2-1 win against Luton Town, boosting their hopes of finishing in the top four.

Son put a strong performance in north London, starting and finishing a fluid Tottenham move in the 86th minute to leave relegation-threatened Luton empty-handed.

Luton took an unexpected early lead thanks to Tahith Chong, and Son was quickly stopped by the woodwork. Issa Kabore's own goal gave Tottenham an equalizer in the 51st minute, and Son's game-winning goal finally paid off for the home team's persistent efforts.

The blues' problems are still there

Chelsea's unpredictable season continued as they were beaten to a 2-2 home tie by a 10-man Burnley team that is still very much in danger of relegation.

After Burnley's Lorenz Assignon received a second yellow card for pulling down Mykhailo Mudryk, top scorer Cole Palmer scored the next penalty in the 44th minute, putting Mauricio Pochettino's lavishly prepared team up 1-0.

However, two minutes into the second half, Josh Cullen shocked Stamford Bridge with a beautiful strike from outside the box.
