According to Delhi minister Atishi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to the high court to avoid coercive action being taken against him, even though he wants to participate in the Enforcement Directorate's investigations and work with the organization.
According to Atishi, Kejriwal has petitioned the Delhi High Court, claiming that the ED intended to have him arrested.
"CM Kejriwal of Delhi wishes to assist the ED in its inquiry and join it. However, we think the ED is not a stand-alone organization. It has no desire to look into things. It is the BJP's political tool," Atishi said in a video message.
The ED wants to summon Kejriwal and put him under arrest. She stated, "If the ED's intentions are clear, the agency ought to declare in court that Arvind Kejriwal will not be arrested by it."
The Delhi minister claimed that the investigation agency's goal is to detain Kejriwal and prevent him from advocating for the Lok Sabha elections.
To date, Kejriwal has eschewed several summonses related to an alleged excise policy scheme and a money laundering investigation.
