A new promotional trailer for Marvel Animation's X-Men '97 was released one week prior to the show's Disney+ premiere, revealing that the series will be a continuation rather than a reboot of the well-liked animated series of the 1990s.

In the legendary 1990s, a group of mutants with incredible abilities known as the X-Men face enormous difficulties in a world that simultaneously fears and despises them. X-Men '97 is set to take audiences back to that unforgettable age. But this time, they're up against some unexpected and novel obstacles.

Executive producer Brad Winderbaum stated, "X-Men '97 is not a reboot of the original series, but literally a next-day continuation."

"Like the '90s show, we're keeping the themes of those stories that were so powerful, but adapting it for a brand-new audience," said Larry Houston, the program's consulting producer.

AJ LoCascio as Gambit, Holly Chou as Jubilee, Matthew Waterson as Bishop, Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler, Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cathal J. Dodd as Wolverine, JP Karliak as Morph, Lenore Zann as Rogue, and George Buza as Beast are among the talented actors in the voice cast.

Under the direction of Jake Castorena, Chase Conley, and Emi Yonemura, with head writer Beau DeMayo serving as his guide, X-Men '97 is expected to provide an engrossing fusion of drama, action, and nostalgia.

Disney+ will start streaming X-Men '97's first two episodes on March 20.

Except for the headline, this story has not been edited by Press Time staff and has been published from a syndicated feed.
