Modi Hails Strong GDP Growth, Vows Continued Efforts for Economic Progress
8.4% Growth in Q3 Shows Strength of Indian Economy, PM Says
Asserting that the government will continue to work to maintain rapid economic growth, help 140 crore Indians lead better lives, and establish a "Viksit Bharat," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that the GDP growth of 8.4% in the third quarter demonstrates the strength and potential of the Indian economy.
India's economic growth surpassed forecasts in the third quarter of 2023–24, rising to 8.4%, mostly as a result of strong performance in the manufacturing, mining & quarrying, and construction sectors.
"The robust 8.4% GDP growth in Q3 2023-24 demonstrates the strength and potential of the Indian economy," said Modi. We will keep working to accelerate economic development so that 140 crore Indians may live better lives and build a Viksit Bharat."
