Pandya Calls India-Pakistan Clash 'Extra Special,' Focuses on Discipline
Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya refuses to refer to the India-Pakistan match as a "fight" between the bitter rivals, instead calling it something "extra special."

In the T20 World Cup on Sunday, India, captained by Rohit Sharma, will play Pakistan, and Pandya will be keen to build on his previous victories over the rivals from over the border.

"I find it really thrilling to be present at major games. I think it's especially special, and I've been really lucky to play well for Pakistan in a lot of games, Pandya said to Star Sports.

Pandya has faced Pakistan in six Twenty20 Internationals so far. The Baroda player has performed better with the ball in hand than with the bat, despite having mostly had mediocre performances. He has only scored 84 runs with the bat, with a peak of 40.

The quick-bowling all-rounder has claimed 11 wickets at an excellent economy rate of 7.5 from six games, with a best of 3/8.

It all boils down to the atmosphere. Breathe in; this is a request. This is going to be history, not a battle, Pandya declared.

India easily defeated Ireland by eight wickets to start the ICC main event, but Pakistan was taken aback by the USA in the Super Over on Thursday.

Pandya emphasized the wealth of India's bowling unit while emphasizing the need for discipline in their match against Pakistan.

India-Pakistan has always been a great match, full of energy, emotion, and excitement. However, I also hope that we will play with discipline, as our group's objective is to go on a sort of quest.

Hardik had informed the BCCI, "So, if we can do that, I think it will be one more nice day for us."
