PCB Advertises Coaching Vacancies for Red and White Ball Formats

According to insiders, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has chosen to choose different foreign coaches for the red ball and white ball forms. Former Australian bowler Jason Gillispie and former South African batter Gary Kirsten are the most likely candidates for the respective roles.

Official job adverts for the roles of red ball and white ball coaches were released by the PCB on Saturday.

Foreign and local candidates who are interested may apply by April 15th. In addition to having a minimum of level two coaching qualifications, applicants must have at least five years of experience coaching a domestic, international, or franchise club.

It said that applicants with more experience as coaches would be given priority when it came to appointments.

Despite the advertisement's call for applications, a PCB source informed PTI that the Board has spoken with Kirsten and Gillispie and is eager for them to apply in order to be appointed on a long-term basis.

According to the source, Gillispie is anticipated to lead the red ball side, while Kirsten, who has previously coached the Indian squad, has been targeted for the white ball versions.

According to the source, Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the PCB, was following all rules and had kept the Board of Governors updated on any changes.

According to the source, "he posted the advertisement to make sure that coaches are appointed with proper contracts and tenure that demonstrate their value and do not change at the whims and fancies of any chairman."

For the first time in a long time, the PCB has properly advertised the national team coaching vacancies. Zaka Ashraf and Najam Sethi, the two prior chairman, selected coaches without posting any job openings.

Prior to it, international experts were added to the panel by previous PCB chairman Ramiz Raja without any public announcement.
