Rahul Gandhi Calls NDA Government ‘Crippled’ Post BJP’s Setback

Rahul Gandhi, the Congress MP, called the NDA government at the center "a crippled one" on Wednesday following the Opposition's "fatal blow" to the BJP, which is now reliant on its partners.

Rahul addressed a public meeting in Edvanna, Malappuram, which is part of the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, that the Indian people had delivered a clear message to the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi while on a Thanksgiving trip to Wayanad, the seat he won along with Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh.

"I can assure you that the government that was established in Delhi is seriously flawed. The BJP has been dealt a deadly blow by the Opposition. Rahul was met with tremendous ovation from hundreds of people who had braved severe rain to listen to him. "And you will see that even Mr. Narendra Modi's attitude will have to change because the people of India have sent him a clear message," Rahul added.

"In our opinion, we will continue to play the oppositional role. We shall fight for the alternative, pro-poor, compassionate vision that we put up for the people of India. He stated, "We are dedicated to transforming India into a more equitable and productive society," and clarified that the election was about the Constitution.

The way Modi "who wanted to rewrite the Constitution, was made to bow before it" was highlighted by him.

"This is what the Prime Minister did to the Constitution (touching it on his forehead) after the election," Rahul reenacted, mimicking what Modi had done in the Central Hall of the former Parliament building before to the NDA meeting.

The Constitution was at the center of this election's controversy. Millions of Indians claim, among other things, that they will decide their own destiny and that they wish to preserve their customs, language, culture, and history. Conversely, the Prime Minister and Mr. Amit Shah said that the people of Kerala would speak Hindi if that was their desire. Rahul reminded his fans, "If we want the Tamil people to not speak Tamil, then the people of Tamil Nadu will not speak Tamil."

Raul remarked in front of a large banner bearing the words "Guardian of Constitution" and "The people of India also told them (the BJP) that the Constitution is our voice, do not touch the Constitution."

Rahul remembered how, as a youngster, he had witnessed a Kathakali performance with his grandmother Indira Gandhi, to which he had objected. However, after an expert gave a description, he had lately liked a similar performance.

It was merely a dance the first time. The history and voice of millions of people were represented the second time around. Millions of individuals expressed themselves through it. And each state in our nation has these customs, its own language, history, and style of expression," he said, focusing on the nation's variety in terms of language, religion, culture, and ethnicity.

Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and Gujarati are among them. This country is home to a wide variety of languages, dances, and history. To thunderous applause from the crowd, he raised a copy of the Indian Constitution and declared, "And every single tradition and history is protected by it."

"This (the Constitution) protects the freedom of the people of Kerala and the people of India to enjoy Kathakali, listen to Malayalam, and eat food from Kerala." Rahul emphasized the importance of the election in defending the Constitution and the rights it guaranteed to the populace. "And if this was gone, then somebody could come to Kerala and say we do not want you to speak Malayalam, we do not want you to have dosa for breakfast, or we do not like this particular tradition of yours," he said.
