Rashmika Mandanna, an actress, opened up about her thoughts on Gitanjali in Animal, acknowledging that she sometimes doubted the latter's acting choices.

Using behind-the-scenes photos from the Animal sets as a backdrop, Rashmika examined Gitanjali's character on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday. Regarding her role in Animal, the 27-year-old actress wrote, "She is pure, real, unfiltered, strong and raw.. ????."

But Rashmika also acknowledged that, as an actor, she occasionally had doubts about some of Gitanjali's decisions. She recalled that Animal was about Ranvijay and Gitanjali; it was about "their love and passion, their families and their lives - this is who they are," as her director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, had explained to her.

Rashmika also wrote about Gitanjali being "the rock that weathered all the storms," delving deeply into her persona. She clarified that in a world of "violence, hurt, and unbearable pain," Gitanjali brings "peace, trust, and calm."

She would ask her gods to protect her spouse and children.Rashmika wrote, "She would sacrifice everything for her family," before praising Gitanjali for being so stunning in her opinion. "She is similar to most women in certain aspects—that is, she stands strong and defends her family every day.❤️."

As she wrapped up her message, Rashmika wished her team a happy one-week anniversary of the movie's premiere. She added that her fans' love and support are what motivate her to keep going. "I appreciate all of your love, it keeps me going and motivates me to work even harder on every movie ❤️❤️. Thank you."Hugs to everyone else as well ❤️.

The film Animal, which debuted on December 1 and starred Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, is about a toxic father-son relationship. Rashmika portrays Ranbir's on-screen partner, whom he ultimately gets married to. But the movie, which also stars Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri, has drawn criticism for what is perceived to be a misogynistic and toxic masculinity.
