Spiritual Leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev Recuperating After Emergency Brain Surgery

The Isha foundation stated on Thursday that spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, who had "life-threatening" bleeding in his skull and had emergency brain surgery at a private hospital here, is doing well and is progressing steadily.

Radhe Jaggi, Sadhguru's daughter, stated on Wednesday in an Instagram story: "For those asking, Sadhguru is doing well and recovering quickly." The Isha Foundation stated in an official release, "Sadhguru has been recuperating nicely and moving forward steadily. He has stable, normal parameters." This 66-year-old spiritual guru founded the Isha Foundation and has started environmental conservation projects including 'Save Soil' and 'Rally for Rivers'.

Indraprastha Apollo Hospital released the following statement on Wednesday: "The procedure was performed on March 17 in order to stop the cranial hemorrhage. After surgery, Sadhguru was weaned off the ventilator." The hospital reported that he has made "steady progress" and that his "vital parameters have improved".

From his hospital bed, Sadhguru also uploaded a video to his Instagram account. "The neurosurgeons at Apollo Hospital sawed into my skull in an attempt to uncover something, but they discovered nothing at all—it was empty. They eventually gave up and fixed it. In a more lighthearted tone, "Here I am in Delhi with the repaired skull but no damaged brain."
