Sushmita Sen's Daughter Renee Makes Live Theatre Debut, Receives Praise from Theatre Veterans

The Aarya actress posted pictures from the show on social media, revealing that Sushmita Sen's daughter Renee had her stage debut in a play at Mumbai's Royal Opera House that was attended by theater industry luminaries like actor-singer Ila Arun.

"To see @reneesen47 act live in her very first play, and in the company of legendary theater professionals no less...My heart is overflowing. A truly joyous occasion for the whole family, friends, and well-wishers. Regarding me, I was just overtaken," Sushmita posted on Instagram, tagging her parents and ex-boyfriend Rohman Shawl in the video.

Before the concert, Sushmita, her parents, and Roman can be seen wishing Renee in the montage. Sushmita's interactions with well-known theater professionals at the event are also captured in the film.

Sushmita continued her laudatory comment by praising the direction, setting, characters, and script—all of which contributed to an engrossing viewing experience. It was a pleasure to witness #HiddenAgendas. The actress, 48, added, "A BIG shout out to the entire Team of #hiddenagendas. The comedy in writing, amazing Performances, Direction & the Production value...it all came together as one immersive experience. You guys are very talented and inspirational.

Karla Singh is the director of Hidden Agendas, which is produced by Raëll Padamsee's Ace. In important roles in the drama are played by Tannaz Irani, Sid Makkar, Varun Narayan, Dilnaz Irani, Gaurav Sharma, and Renée Sen.

Renee, 24, last appeared in the 2020 short film Suttabaazi directed by Kabeer Khurana. The protagonist of the tale was a 19-year-old social media celebrity who also smoked covertly. Rahul Vohra and Komal Chhabria played significant roles in the movie as well.
