Following a week of theatrical release, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (TBMAUJ), starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, brought in Rs 44.60 crore nett at the domestic box office, according to industry data-tracking website Sacnilk.
With a respectable Friday opening, the romantic comedy brought in Rs 6.7 crore nett. It made Rs 9.65 crore nett on Saturday and Rs 10.75 crore nett on Sunday as it picked up steam throughout the weekend.
But over the week, the movie had trouble and saw a sharp decline in box office earnings. It brought in Rs 3.85 crore nett on Tuesday after earning Rs 3.65 crore nett on Monday. TBMAUJ was unable to maintain its early pace, even though it saw a little uptick on Wednesday with Rs 6.75 crore nett, which was ascribed to Valentine's Day foot traffic. With Rs 3.25 crore in revenue on the seventh day, the movie's daily total was the lowest.
The plot of TBMAUJ centers on an engineer (Shahid Kapoor) who develops feelings for a robot (Kriti Sanon). Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah are the film's writers and directors. Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar are credited for production work.
