Virat Kohli's IPL Participation Uncertain, Says Sunil Gavaskar

The current Test series between India and England has been missed by Virat Kohli due to "personal reasons". With the Indian Premier League starting the following month, Kohli will probably be playing again for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

However, in response to a question on whether the contemporary great Kohli would be eager for runs in the IPL after his extended break, Sunil Gavaskar, 74, responded in a lighthearted manner, questioning if the 35-year-old will even be available to play in the prestigious T20 tournament.

Anushka Sharma, an actress, and her husband, Virat Kohli, announced the arrival of their second child earlier this month.

Gavaskar said that the success of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the next IPL season would rely on how well head coach Chandrakant Pandit and team mentor Gautam Gambhir work together.
