AAP Alleges BJP's Coercion Tactics Against MLAs Amid Kejriwal's Detention

Prior to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's detention hearing by a local court on Thursday, Sandeep Pathak, the party's national general secretary (organization), stated that AAP MLAs were receiving calls telling them to quit the party or suffer penalties.

He warned in a Hindi post on X that the nation would suffer as a result of the BJP's use of "hooliganism".

The AAP MLAs are ringing. 'You will receive anything you want, and it will not be good for you if you don't come,' is what they are being told. Voting for Kejriwal, the people of Delhi and Punjab had great expectations. The leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said, "The BJP is doing this 'goondagardi' not with a party but with the country." Delhi BJP spokesman Praveen Shankar Kapoor questioned Pathak in response to his post on X, asking him to identify even one BJP politician who had made a call in an attempt to entice an AAP MLA.

In his Hindi post, Kapoor said, "the truth is that the AAP clan is scattering due to the stories of Arvind Kejriwal's corruption."

AAP national leader Kejriwal was detained on March 21 and then placed under detention in the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) custody till March 28 in connection with a money laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy.

In his tweet, Pathak said that history proves the British and Mughals' past efforts to split the nation were unsuccessful. "This attempt by the BJP will also fail," he said.

AAP members also staged a quick protest against Kejriwal's detention in the morning next to the entrance of the ITO metro station. Workers from the party were also saw handing out brochures to passersby while donning aprons with the phrase "Mai Bhi Kejriwal" printed on them.
