Anil Kapoor's "Thank You For Coming" to Have International Premiere at TIFF

The impending international premiere of Bollywood actor-producer Anil Kapoor's film "Thank You For Coming" will take place at the 46th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), he announced on Monday.

The movie, which is billed as a coming-of-age comedy, centers on Kanika Kapoor, a single woman in her 30s who is looking for genuine love and pleasure. Kanika is portrayed in the movie by Bhumi Pednekar. The storyline for the movie was written by Radhika Anand and Prashasti Singh, and it is directed by Karan Boolani.

The movie's gala premiere is slated on September 15 at Roy Thompson Hall.

I've wanted to go to TIFF ever since 'Slumdog Millionaire'! I visited every festival that year, including the BFI in London, Cannes, and everything in between. The only festival I was unable to attend at the time was TIFF since my visa didn't come through in time for me to go. Since then, TIFF has been on my bucket list! "I may not have been able to attend the festival back then since I was a part of the film, but this year I get to go as a producer. In a statement, actor Shahid Kapoor said, "'Thank You For Coming' has so much heart, soul, and sass. I'm happy to be a part of its display on such a revered venue.

Along with producers Ektaa R Kapoor and director Karan Boolani, the cast of the film, which also includes actresses Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila, and Shibani Bedi, will attend the festival.

On October 6, "Thank You For Coming" will have a global theatrical debut. It was created by Balaji Telefilms Limited and Anil Kapoor Film Communication Network Pvt. Ltd.
