Blackpink's Lisa Teases Comeback with New Single 'Rockstar'

Lisa, a member of Blackpink, has released a new poster for her next single Rockstar, which is set to release on June 28 (IST).

"Stardust. 06/27 at 8:00 p.m. EST. Lisa wrote as a description for her Instagram photo on Thursday, June 28 at 9 AM KST.

Lisa is pictured on the poster wearing huge glasses, translucent hoops, and a lot of jewelry. She has a textured bob with bangs in her hair.

On June 18, the rapper-singer from South Korea revealed the song via her Instagram stories. Lisa Rockstar...Thursday, June 27 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PTFriday, June 28 at 7 AM TH/9 AM KR," she replied, attaching the first solo poster.

Rockstar announces her three-year hiatus from the music industry.

After leaving YG Entertainment to pursue solo projects, Lisa founded her own artist management firm, LLOUD, on February 8. In order to produce new music, she also inked a solo recording deal with RCA Records.

The 27-year-old rapper and singer made a hint earlier this year that a new album would be out by the end of 2024. When questioned about her intentions for this year during a Q&A session, Lisa responded, "This year, album. I want to release a new album this year, no matter what."

Lisa, one of the four members of the band, is the first female solo artist in Korean music history to win the MTV Video Music Awards' best K-pop artist title for her music video Lalisa in 2022.

In September 2021, Lisa released her debut single album Lalisa, making history as the first female K-pop singer to sell 736,000 copies of an album in South Korea during its first week of sales. With more than 700 million views on YouTube, her Lalisa music video solidified her status as the first solo female K-pop artist to reach this significant milestone.
