Calls Increase for MS Dhoni to Bat Higher in the Order, but Michael Clarke Predicts Otherwise

After Sunday, there have been increasing calls for Mahendra Singh Dhoni to bat higher in the order. However, according to Michael Clarke, the former captain of the Chennai Super Kings would stick with his current position of No. 8 and will only go up if the game is "on the line."

Although Dhoni's undefeated 37 off 16 balls against the Delhi Capitals was insufficient to win, his devoted supporters think the result would have been different if he had batted higher in the order.

Like Dhoni, Clarke is a World Cup winning captain, and he said that the Indian icon would go on as the finisher.

He won't, in my opinion. He'll probably remain where he is. Every MS Dhoni fan, in my opinion, wants to see him get to the top of the order. The Australian told Star Sports, "We've all said throughout his career, he should open the batting."

However, he is now out of the captaincy at this point in his career. He won't likely come up with the order. I believe he will definitely go up in the order if the team needs him to do so in order to win the game.

Dhoni hit four boundaries and three sixes in his furious middle-overs. In the 20th over, one of the sixes was hit one-handed over mid-wicket.

I doubt you'll see him batting in the top five or top six just because of how good he's hitting the ball. He's a dancing genius, in my opinion. I think he's the finest finisher I've ever seen, said Clarke.
