CPM's Insaaf Yatra Marches from Siliguri to Bagdogra

Tuesday saw the CPM's Insaaf Yatra depart Siliguri and travel to Bihar More in Bagdogra under the direction of its youth arm, the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI).

Marching from Gosaipur, on the outskirts of Siliguri, hundreds of members of the DYFI arrived at Bihar More after traveling around 4 km.

Asok Bhattacharya, a longstanding MLA and seasoned CPM politician from north Bengal, was one of the march participants.

Part of the CPM's nationwide agenda, which began on Friday in the Cooch Behar area, is the rally calling for jobs and improved education for young people.

at the following two months, the march is anticipated to travel 2,000 kilometers across the state to arrive at Calcutta.

On January 7, a sizable public gathering in the capital of Bengal will conclude the demonstration.

State secretary of the DYFI Minakshi Mukherjee stated, "We are paying taxes and electing our representatives but unfortunately they are looting public money and depriving us from getting our legitimate rights," during a public meeting that was held in Bagdogra after the march.

With applause from the audience, the young leader said, "Our focus is on education and employment."
