Delhi Police Conduct Raids at NewsClick Offices and Journalists' Homes
Enforcement Directorate's Funding Probe Leads to Special Cell Investigation
According to authorities, Tuesday morning saw raids by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police at the locations of NewsClick and its journalists.
The Enforcement Directorate had previously carried out raids at the company's offices to look into its funding sources. Inputs from the central agency are used by the Special Cell to perform raids.
Data dumps from some NewsClick journalists' PCs and smartphones were found by the police. According to officials, the Special Cell has opened a new case and begun an investigation.
