Fire at Jute Factory in Howrah, West Bengal

According to authorities, a fire started on Monday morning at a jute factory in the Howrah district of West Bengal.

The incident, which was discovered at approximately 4:50 in the morning, prompted the deployment of two fire tenders, according to reports.

According to fire brigade authorities, there was no immediate news of any casualties or of anybody being trapped within the mill, which is situated on the Foreshore Road.

They reported that the fire had been contained.

When they saw the flames, locals and jute mill security guards saw them during the Chhath festival parade and reported them to the Shibpur Police Station.

The authorities said that they suspected a short circuit inside the unit was what started the incident.
