Girl Who Lost Limbs in Train Accident Made SOS Call to Father 2.5 Hours Before Tragedy

About two and a half hours prior to the tragedy, the 16-year-old girl who lost her limbs when she was thrown in front of a train in Bareilly on Tuesday night placed an SOS call to her father on his cell phone, informing him that she was surrounded by thugs.

She is fighting for her life at the Rohilkhand Medical College and Hospital in Bareilly after the attack claimed both of her legs and a hand.

"At around seven o'clock at night, my daughter called to tell me that some guys had surrounded her. She told me she was near a brick kiln next to a field of crops when I asked where she was. To save her, she begged me. When I got there in a hurry, she wasn't there. The girl's father, a jeweler, said, "We went to the CB Ganj police station. Inspector Ashok Kumar Kamboj heard me and asked sub-inspector Nitesh Sharma and constable Akash Deep to do the paperwork before moving forward."

"After asking me to fill out an application, the police officers gradually got to work compiling a report on missing people.

They lost about ninety minutes doing this. Around 9:30 p.m., the Government Railway Police sent word to the staff at the police station that a female had been discovered hurt on the railroad tracks," the officer stated.

He went on, "Unfortunately, the police allowed the incident to happen and ignored my written complaints."

Inspector-general of Bareilly Range Rakesh Kumar Singh declared: "Three police officers have been suspended for their delay in responding to the case. On Wednesday, his father and one of the suspects were taken into custody. A police squad is searching for the other defendants. The girl's health is severe and she is receiving care at a hospital.
