Mamata Banerjee has promised that no person in Bengal would be refused any government service or benefit because of faulty documentation, and she has instructed chief secretary B.P. Gopalika to create a platform where those whose Aadhaar cards were deactivated may register their identities.

"I've heard that the national government, headed by the BJP, is nullifying Aadhaar cards all throughout Bengal. By whom did you get this authority? I would want to request that our chief secretary, who is in attendance, create an internet gateway. The chief minister of Bengal said, "I want to request those whose Aadhaar cards were deactivated to register on that online platform," on Sunday at a public benefit distribution event in Suri, Birbhum.

Additionally, she encouraged government employees who are on the ground, such as healthcare providers, to notify individuals whose Aadhaar cards had just been deleted.

Mamata's directives were issued in the midst of rumors that several individuals in different regions of the state had received correspondence from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), notifying them that their Aadhaar numbers had been deactivated and that their immigration criteria had not been met. These are the kind of letters that a lot of people in places like East Burdwan, Nadia, and North 24-Parganas have been receiving lately.

Authorities will be able to create a database of inactive Aadhaar numbers thanks to the chief minister's directive, according to a top state government official, to begin both online and offline registration drives for anyone receiving such letters.

Mamata said that her administration would not let anybody to be denied access to any assistance programs, even if their Aadhaar remained inactive. She made reference to a group of individuals in Jamalpur, East Burdwan, who were allegedly sent such letters.

They are acting in this way in order to prevent the people of Bengal from receiving benefits from the social programs ahead of elections. I want to be clear that even if you do not have an Aadhar card, you will not be denied access to any social assistance program in Bengal. You will be able to participate in all of our programmes without an Aadhaar card," she said before voicing her concern that the Aadhaar-related events are a part of the saffron camp's plot to resurrect the divisive citizenship matrix issue.

Mamata issued a warning to the people of Bengal, claiming that the deactivation of people's Aadhaar cards was a ruse to introduce the modified citizenship legislation and the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

"The Aadhaar card developments are the result of the BJP's dishonest actions.... I would want to caution everyone. She went on, "They are getting ready to launch the NRC and the CAA," and then pledged her assistance for everyone affected by deactivating Aadhaar.

According to a source, the East Burdwan district government provided a thorough report on all Aadhaar deactivation letters received from the UIDAI, and the majority of those recipients were Matuas.

Mamata Bala Thakur, the Matua leader of Trinamul, has scheduled a meeting of the All India Matua Mahasangha's core committee for Monday to examine the matter and draft a plan of action for a struggle against the UIDAI.

"We will not put up with this torment of our state's residents or those of our community. We're going all out to prevent Aadhaar cards from being deactivated. We will consider our action in an emergency meeting on Monday," said Thakur, who her party just nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
