Mark Ruffalo became the 2,772nd person to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

On February 8, the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, California, inducted actor Mark Ruffalo, who portrayed the Hulk in the MCU's The Avengers film series, as the newest Hollywood celebrity. The star has five points and is made of brass and terrazzo.

Ruffalo posted images from the ceremony on social media, where he was joined by two of his three daughters and his wife Sunrise Coigney.


"Thank you very much for everything. This star belongs to everyone who has touched my life, not just me, the 56-year-old stated on Friday accompanied an Instagram carousel.



During his acceptance speech, Ruffalo related a funny story about how he got his start in the business. At the age of eighteen, he decided he wanted to pursue acting full-time and stepped off a bus on Hollywood Boulevard.


Guest speakers for the event included actress Jennifer Garner, director David Fincher, and actor Tim McNeil.

Garner, who had acted in Gary Winick's 2004 body swap romantic comedy 13 with Ruffalo, The actress was recognized for being a person of character in her speech by Going on 30. She turned to her co-star and close friend Mark and remarked, "To work with you Mark is to love you."


The Adam Project actress posted a video of herself and Ruffalo doing their "Thriller" dance moves from 13 Going on 30 on her Instagram page.


Barry Keoghan, an actor from Saltburn, was also present at the event.

With Ruffalo's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he became the 2,772nd person to receive such an honor.

Regarding his career, the actor was nominated for an Oscar for his performance as Duncan Wedderburn in the feminist fantasy film Poor Things by Yorgos Lanthimos. Next, Ruffalo will star with Toni Collette and Robert Pattinson in the much anticipated science fiction drama Mickey 17, a Warner Bros. and Bong Joon Ho production.
