For their Durga Pujo release Raktabeej, Mimi Chakraborty and Shiboprosad Mukherjee reunited, and Mimi discusses her first role as a cop in her career.

After Posto, you're reconnecting with Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee.

Miss Mimi Chakraborty It has been a protracted relationship with them. Coming back and working with them once more on a fantastic script like Raktabeej feels really nice. I'm very hoping that people will enjoy this movie. We have worked incredibly hard. I sincerely hope that you all enjoy it.

Tell us the story of Raktabeej.

Mimi Chakraborty: Shibu-da called and asked, "Tui akdin ashbi? Will you visit one day to hear a script?, Akta script achhey ektu shuney ja. I had no idea that I would be portraying Sanjukta Mitra on stage. I thought the script was fantastic right away and predicted that this would be one of Windows Production's best movies. I was ecstatic when the role of Sanjukta Mitra was offered to me. Characters like this are hardly ever explored by women in the industry. I'm extremely appreciative that I was able to pursue my passion for extraordinary things.

How difficult were the movie's action scenes? How did the training go, and did you have to pick up bike riding?

Mimi Chakraborty: Running and jumping are essential parts of being a police officer. I really enjoyed it. I work out every day in an effort to maintain my fitness. It takes a flexible body to execute stunt sequences.

I had practiced in the open fields after learning to ride an Enfield while filming the Purulia-set Proloy. I was relearning how to ride a bike for Raktabeej, but in my parking lot! Stressful because I was concerned I would damage myself. One day, eager to record a video since I had finally mastered correct bike riding, I nearly fell off. I didn't touch the bike again even though I wasn't wounded. On the day of the shoot, I made the decision to ride my bike directly. The shot turned out excellent while I was on location and the camera was following me!

For the first time, you are a police officer. Did you use any real-life or fictional police officers as models or inspiration?

I had a lot of encounters with the SP of Baruipur, and I really loved the way she conducted herself, said Mimi Chakraborty. I had no idea at the time that I would be portraying an SP! People in uniform have been visible to me and have been observed. Additionally, I used to wonder what would happen if I had a character like this while I saw Delhi Crime and Dahaad. The characters played by Sonakshi Sinha and Shefali Shah moved me. I particularly enjoyed the commercial undertone of Dahaad. I had my tips when the Raktabeej script was given to me, but when I got to the floors, Nandita-di asked me to let go of whatever I had learned and to just be myself. In this manner, Sanjukta Mitra came to be.

Your Bollywood debut coincides with the release of Shastry Virudh Shastry, a remake of Posto by the same filmmaker team.…

Yes, says Mimi Chakraborty. Even after leaving Bengal, the movie felt familiar to me. It was simple for me thanks to the filmmakers and Viacom. We film 10 to 15 scenes daily in Bengal. However, we would shoot a couple of sequences per day for Shastry Virudh Shastry. There was little shooting scheduled. Breaks were given to actors. Because of the enormous production value, there is less stress. I would practice on the floor every day without applying any makeup before returning to get ready for the photo. Each scenario might be finished in a matter of seconds.

Additionally, Jaha Bolibo Shotto Bolibo (for Hoichoi) marks your online debut. What's going on there?

Mimi Chakraborty: The story was influenced by actual occurrences. I play an attorney. It will be released next year, but I can't say anything more about it.
