NIA seeks updates on UK, US probes into Khalistani protests

According to sources in the Union home ministry, the National Investigation Agency has contacted investigators in the US and the UK to inquire about the status of inquiries into the attempted violence at the Indian high commission in London and the vandalism at the Indian consulate in San Francisco during pro-Khalistani protests earlier this year.

According to a home ministry official, detectives will go to both nations once more in order to speak with local authorities and finish the investigation.

According to the official, not much has come out thus far in the investigation into the two incidents.

In relation to the damage at the Indian embassy in San Francisco on March 18, when certain Khalistani organizations trespassed into the facility and attempted to burn it down, the NIA earlier published images of ten accused followers of Khalistani on its website.
